You might recall previously I was enrolled in a dry needling workshop… well I’m pleased to say I’ve since completed the course, and apart from feeling like a pin cushion, I found it to be most beneficial and informative.
Now it doesn’t mean you’re all going to be attacked by needles next time you’re in, for me I see dry needling as an additional tool to add to the belt, which may be suitable for acute conditions, or cases where there is deep seated muscle/tendon tightness. There is also good evidence to support the use of dry needling with conditions such as tennis elbow, patella-femoral joint syndrome (knee pain), shoulder tendonitis and shin splints.
